Goals and Objectives                                                         

The following goals and objectives have been developed as a part of the Iowa FFA Foundation's strategic plan.

1. To secure 100% of funds for the budget requests from ag ed organizations served by the foundation within the timelines specified by each organization.

• Secure budget requests from ag ed organizations by May 1st. These organizations shall specify a deadline for confirmation of available sponsorship.

• Maintain a monthly calendar for making initial contacts for sponsorships by July 1.

• Include ag ed organization representatives when making personal contacts as deemed appropriate by the foundation's executive director.

• Utilize sponsoring committee members' assistance in identifying new sponsors and making initial communication with contact persons.

• Encourage potential sponsors to invest in the future of Iowa and the food, fiber and natural resources industry by supporting ag ed organization members.

• Inform ag ed organization representatives when seeking sponsorship for their budget requests.

• Improve and utilize the Iowa FFA Foundation marketing plan to better meet the Iowa FFA Foundation's mission.

• Develop a business plan for the Iowa FFA Foundation.

2. To meet 100%of the general fund obligations monthly through established activities: Sharing With Pride; general fund donations; limited edition tractor and truck sales; raffle ticket sales; silent auction; and percentage of special projects (20%).

• Develop a cash flow budget stating the monthly income goal for each of the established activities.

• Secure names and addresses of likely contributors from each of the ag ed organizations.

• Request all ag ed organizations to inform their members about the importance of and how to participate in established money earning activities of the foundation.

• The sponsoring committee should annually create a major special activity and/or incentive program to raise money for established activities.  

3. Increase Sharing With Pride memberships by $10,000 during the year.

• Utilize the marketing plan for "Sharing With Pride."

• Contact past Iowa FFA officers to become partners.

• Inform current and former agricultural educators about the benefits of becoming a member.

• Acquire mailing lists of potential "Sharing With Pride" partners from the sponsoring committee.

4. Recognize 100% of sponsors appropriately in a timely manner.

• Ag ed organizations shall invite sponsors to participate in the activities and presentation of awards for which they contribute money.

• Ag ed organizations receiving donations shall provide a report or press release of the benefits and accomplishments following each sponsored activity to the foundation and to the sponsor(s).

• The foundation shall provide a thank you list of sponsor's names and addresses ahead of each ag ed organization sponsored activity.

• The foundation (executive director and one or more board members), ag ed organization, and recipient(s) shall send a thank you to sponsors.

• Recognize sponsors in the Iowa FFA Foundation News publication and request ag ed organizations to also recognize sponsors in their publications too.

• Provide all sponsors with an appreciation certificate, a sponsors card, a holiday greetings, and recognition in the Iowa FFA Foundation News publication.

• Major sponsors shall be listed in the printed program, recognized at one session and invited to a sponsors' meal function of the annual Iowa FFA Leadership Conference. 

5. Iowa FFA Foundation will acquire the dollars necessary for promotional materials, architect fees, an endowment fund and additional financial support towards The Enrichment Center.

• Capital Campaign Committee to provide leadership.

• Contract with Policy Management Interests.

• Submit grant proposals.

• Contact potential business/industry representatives and charitable foundations for financial support. 

6. Create a greater awareness of the foundation and its success.

• Market the success of the Iowa FFA Foundation.

• Utilize displays to market established foundation programs at appropriate events.

• Secure inkind services of a professional advertising agency to produce public service announcements, videos, and other promotional materials.

• Establish an ongoing working relationship with the media.

• Utilize the Iowa FFA Foundation's Web-site to promote the Iowa FFA Foundation's mission.
