The Iowa FFA Foundation is responsible for coordinating scholarships designed to assist students financially as they prepare for a career in the industry of agriculture.
2007 Scholarships                                                 
 
Heartland Co-op Scholarship Program

Heartland Co-op will offer nine (9) scholarships of $1,000 each through the Iowa FFA Foundation.  These will be awarded to undergraduate students in two or four year college programs.  Recipients will be selected according to the following criteria:  1) outstanding leadership potential, 2) good scholarship, and 3) financial need.  Applicant must be a full-time student that has been accepted into an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree, or a two-year transferable ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum.  One or more agriculture classes shall be taken each semester of the scholarship year.

 

The postmark deadline for applications is May 1, 2007.

NEW Cooperative Scholarship Program
NEW Cooperative will offer a maximum of five (5) scholarships of $2,000 each; these will be awarded to undergraduate students in two or four year college programs.  Recipients will be selected according to the following criteria:  1) outstanding leadership potential, 2) good scholarship, and 3) financial need.  Applicant must be a full-time student that has been accepted into an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree, or a two-year transferable Ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum.  One or more agriculture classes shall be taken each semester of the scholarship year.

Iowa Horse Council Scholarship Program

The Iowa Horse Council will offer one $500 scholarship to an Iowa FFA member.  It will be awarded to an undergraduate student in a  two or four-year college program.  The recipient will be selected according to the following criteria:  1) outstanding leadership potential, 2) good scholarship, and 3) financial need.  Applicant shall be a full-time, first-year college student that has been accepted into an Iowa college program that offers an agricultural degree, or a two-year transferable Ag program to go on and major in an agricultural curriculum. One or more agriculture classes shall be taken each semester of the scholarship year.

 

The postmark deadline for applications is March 1, 2007.

WLC Scholarship Program
The Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship Program will offer multiple $550 scholarships for FFA members to attend the National FFA Organization's Washington Leadership Conference held in Washington, D.C.  These scholarships are sponsored by the Iowa FFA Foundation through the Iowa FFA Foundation Golf Tournament.  In Iowa, the Washington Leadership Conference Scholarships will be awarded to FFA members who come from chapters which need a boost toward getting more members motivated to become involved in additional activities on local, district, state, and national levels.  Priority will be given to the following types of situations:  (1) Fairly new FFA chapters; (2) Several different FFA chapter advisors in recent years; (3) Chapter has not received state and/or national recognition in career development events, National Chapter competition, etc.; (4) Other reasons to express a major need.

Iowa State Fair Scholarship Program
The Iowa State Fair - FFA Dvision Scholarship Program will offer multiple scholarships through the Iowa FFA Foundation.  Scholarship applicants will only be considered from active FFA members who will be enrolled as college freshman in an Iowa college or university during the fall of 2007, and shall be preparing for a agricultural career.  Applicants need to have participated in activities at the Iowa State Fair.
