Agricultural Proficiency Awards
There are a total of 50 agricultural proficiency areas which attract the attention of many Iowa FFA members. FFA members complete applications on a local, district and state level to demonstrate skills and knowledge of a specific project they have chosen.
FFA members are recognized for their knowledge, problem solving, and achievement of skills in Iowa FFA Career Development Events. These events are a critical part of the Ag.Ed. three circle model allowing students the opportunity to demonstrate their learning in a competitive environment, while highlighting their understanding of their designated career area.
Iowa State Fair Exhibitor Awards
FFA members gain valuable experiences when exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair. Through diligent work many FFA members each year learn the value of their efforts at the Fair. Through their exhibits members are encourage to challenge themselves to achieve a greater level of awards, while demonstrating skills learned through their agricultural education program.
Collegiate Scholarship Programs
The Iowa FFA Foundation is responsible for coordinating scholarships designed to assist students financially as they prepare for a career in the industry of agriculture.
Iowa Association of Agricultural Educators
Professionals providing agricultural education for the global community through visionary leadership, advocacy and service. IAAE seeks to advance agricultural education and promote the professional interests and growth of agriculture teachers as well as recruit and prepare students who have a desire to teach agriculture. The organization is dedicated to developing professional pride, to nourishing a spirit of unity among classroom teachers and to recognizing members for conducting outstanding programs.
As supporters of FFA members statewide, the Alumni Association has sincere passion for encouraging the success of our young people. Through the efforts of parents, grandparents, friends, former FFA members and those who have never put on the blue corduroy jacket, Alumni members from across the state come together to secure the promise of FFA and agricultural education by creating an environment where people and communities can develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
Postsecondary Agricultural Students of Iowa
Postsecondary Agricultural Student Organization of Iowa (PAS) is an organization associated with agriculture/agribusiness and natural resources offerings in approved postsecondary institutions offering associate degrees or vocational diplomas and/or certificates.
